Arizona trip 2008

We celebrated our first year of marriage by going to Arizona. Let me tell you this place is BEAUTIFUL!!! Our first stop on our trip was the Grand Canyon. This is the Northern part. It was amazing. I can't believe that I have lived in Utah all my life and never visited this place. It was neat. Plus this was a great start to our trip.

Sedona

After going to the Grand Canyon we went to Sedona. This place is beautiful and definately a rich man's play ground. The first two pics are of Slick Rock. This place was pretty cool. It was made by nature and you can go and play in the water, but it is very slick. You need to wear shoes! It is so hot down there and the water is pretty cool it just feels perfect. It's gotta be nice to have a swimming pool in the middle of the mountains!
The second two pics are of Montezuma's castle. This was a way neat place. As you can see it is high up on a mountain so that no one can get to it. Plus it is still intact. There were so many neat places to see in Sedona. You could spend days there seeing everything. When I retire I want to live there cuz it is just beautiful!!!

Jerome

Another stop on our journey was Jerome. This was a neat little town. It was built high up on a hill and it was a mining town. The top building was a hospital back in the day and now they have made it into a hotel. This is where we stayed. It is supposedly huanted and I failed to mention it to Kyle until we checked in. =) He wasn't too happy to hear the ghost storys. I love scarey movies so this was my favorite part of the trip. The roads are tiny in this place! We took our toy hauler trailer with us on this road trip and they people told me we could park up at the hotel. Well they failed to mention to me that the roads are ment for tiny cars one at a time. At the time it wasn't funny but after we got everything figured out it was pretty funny that we dragged out trailer thru it all.

Tombstone

The last stop on our trip was Tombstone Arizona. This is the only reason I could get Kyle to go to Arizona. He loves the history and the story about the Earp brothers. The first pic is us in our hard hats getting ready to go into the underground mine that is under the town of Tombstone. You can only go so far but it was pretty neat. The second pic is of Kyle at the bar in the Birdcage. This place was the coolest shop in the whole town. I think it is the only original place too. Everything there was so neat. You could see the bullet holes from fights in the walls and they had all the original furniture and everything. The third pic is of Kyle standing next to the hurse that carried the people to the grave yard.

American Idol

Well as most of you know I tried out last July for American Idol. I didn't make it very far. I only got to sing a song for the producers and they didn't like it. But I'm proud of myself for even doing it. Singing in front of people scares the crap right out of me! I did very well I think. I wasn't nervous or anything, but then again singing for strangers is easy cuz I don't care what they think. I want to thank everyone who encouraged me to do it! Thanks!

Wedding

Well I'm finally putting together a blog and I figured I would start me marrying the man of my dreams. Kyle and I were married August 4 2007. It was awesome! Family and friends were all there and we did miss you guys who weren't able to make it. We were married in Cedar City at Kyle's Mothers house in her back yard. Ken Adams married us and he is married to Kyle's mom. I have to give all the credit to my friends for making the place to beautiful. I only got to see alittle of it that morning but when I walked down the aisle it looked amazing. Also thank you to my parents for being there to help too.
