We dropped Gage off at daycare (his favorite place in the world) and off we went to the hospital to check in by 7am. I was being induced and our baby was coming today. I had been having a few contractions but nothing that made me go into labor on my own. We arrived and had an amazing team waiting for us. Our nurse asked us to have some goals for the birth and we joked about having our baby before 9 and we decided to have our goal be by 10am. The team had been warned by my previous Labor and Delivery nurses that I go pretty fast. I got my IV, talked about an epidural, was put on pitocin at 730, and got my water broke around 8 am. Finally decided to try the epidural and contractions started happening. Wayne put the epidural in and hung out for a few minutes to make sure it was going to work. Everyone in the room left for some reason and I started to feel like I needed to push. I called for Kyle and he came back into the room and went and got my nurses. The nurse checked me and our babies head was sitting right there. I asked a few times if I could push and the nurses told me no and to wait for the doctor. Thank goodness for the epidural cuz I was able to wait for Dr. Gatherum to get his gown and gloves on this time. With 2 pushes our baby girl was born at 8:52am. We were shocked! I was not expecting an adorable redheaded baby girl. Shse was perfect! They placed her on my belly and she just slobbered all over me and not crying. I loved cuddling her but her body temp was going down so they moved her to the warmer where she calmly laid there enjoying the warm air. She was so quite that we had to keep checking on her to make sure she was still breathing. I had tested positive for strep b and since I wasn't on the antibiotics for the 4 hours before her birth we were told we needed to stay for 2 days to keep an eye on her. But after a day and a half she was doing great and they let us go home.

You weighed 6 pounds 11 ounces, measured 19 1/2 inches and had blondish red fuzz on your head.
We couldn't have been more excited for a baby girl. It did take us a day or two to get over the shock but We were so excited!!!!
