It's Christmas Season!

It is officially Christmas Season!!!! I'm so excited! I love this time of year. I love the music, the decorations, snow and wearing cute warm sweaters! I got my christmas tree up and did it totally different than I have ever done. I put stars, snowflakes and rafia bows. I think it looks ok. It is a nice change from having a red n white tree. I'm sad that we won't be putting up lights outside this year. I just wish the kids would leave our house alone. It really ruins the christmas spirit when kids come and mess with the lighted deer. Oh well. This year we will be spending Christmas with Kyle's family and I'm so excited. His mom and sister always cook some yummy food! I can't wait for Christmas!!!!

Thanksgiving

This year Kyle, Jaxsen and I went home to Duchesne for Thanksgiving. Everyone was there except Brian and Becca. We had a great time. The food was fabulous! and so was the company. Friday we got to go see Grandma. She looks so good. I just wish her memory was better. Atleast she remembered me so I was thankful for that.

I was so thankful that Kyle was able to handle the ride home. It just wouldn't have been thanksgiving without him. I'm so thankful that his surgery went so well and that he is feeling better. I'm thankful for all my family and friends. I"m thankful that I do have a job and for most of the people I work with =) Just kidding. I do love all the people I work with.

I love this season cuz once thanksgiving is over Christmas is so much closer! I love Christmas!! I'm looking forward to spending Christmas with Kyle's family. Thanks again to everyone who prayed for Kyle to recover quickly from his surgery.

Kyle's Surgery Part 2

WE ARE HOME!!!! Man this was such a long week. I finally got a picture of Kyle. I think he must have had a pain pill on board cuz there is no way he would let me take a picture any other way. =) Friday he finally felt good enough to walk. It was so awesome to be there to see him walk. I know it sounds stupid but what he went through to get that far was amazing. He first walked to the nurses station and little farther which was about 30 feet. (I could be off a few feet.) Then the physical therapist came acouple hours later and he walked a long ways. He was so tired when she was done with him. His last attempt was to the elevator and it was all I could do to keep him from getting on and leaving! Most of the nurses were good to him but he had 2 that were horrible! It sure ruins the experience when one nurse decides to ignore his requests. Oh well now I'm the one that he gets to bug about his pain medications. (Wish me luck! I'm sure he will want to divorce me cuz I'm going to follow the rules). I want to thank everyone for your prayers. He did great and I have my husband back. I was just nervous something horrible would happen but nothing like that did. Thank you again!!!

Kyle's Surgery

Well Kyle went to Las Vegas to have surgery this past tuesday. He had an anterior/posterior back fusion. They went thru his belly and put a plate on L4-5 and L5-S1. Then they flipped him over and put a plate and rod on the same vertebreas thru the back. Dr. Kabins did the surgery and he said it went perfect. Kyle is doing good but he is in alot of pain as expected. Today he has gotten up 5 times and this last time he moved so much faster. I think he is making great progress. I went to take a picture of him but my batteries were dead. I will have to stop at the gift shop at the hotel and buy some. He is staying at UMC and I'm at Palace Station Casino. Both places are nice. The people at UMC are so nice except Kyle's nurse today. He seems to think that Kyle doesn't need any pain meds. I think Kyle has thought about killing him but I won't let it happen. I will keep you posted and hopefully be able to get a picture. Maybe I'll ask him when he has had a few pain meds on board. He pretty much does whatever I ask then. I got him to walk to the door which was huge for him.

They Say It's Your Birthday!!

This past weekend Jaxsen and I celebrated our birthdays. I just wanted to post some pictures of us. We had a great weekend. We went and picked up pine nuts with Kyle's sister and brother in law, went to St. George to do some shopping and watched movies. It was a nice relaxing weekend.

This picture is of Jaxsen when I first got him. He is 2 months old. He was so cute. Mostly eyeballs and ears!

I was driving home one weekend and had Jaxsen in the front seat with me. I looked over and he had his face between my cd case and the seat. I thought it was so cute!

Truck Racing

This weekend Kyle and I went with some friends to Las Vegas to the Truck Racing which is just like NASCAR but with trucks. It was so much fun. The weather was so hot it was around 107 but as soon as the sun went down it was perfect and around 81 degrees. The race was pretty quick too but I do have to admit I didn't watch much of the race. We had a couple in front of us that were fighting the whole time. It was pretty distracting but entertaining. It is funny what alcohol does to a person. They had a few drinks in their system. The last picture is really there to show off the pretty sunset. The colors were amazing! We had a great time and wouldn't mind going again. The tickets were free so you can pass that up! (Except never eat at the Saraha Casino Buffet. It was GROSS!!!)

Fall

Last weekend I wanted to go up the mountain to take pictures of the red leaves and hopefully get some of us. Thank goodness Kyle is a good husband and didn't mind taking me up the mountain. The leaves on the trees were just begining to change and there were mostly red leaves. It was so beautiful. I have decided that Fall is my favorite time of year. As you could tell Jaxsen didn't coperate very well with the camera. He usually does but there was just too much going on for him to stare at the camera.

NICKELBACK!!!

This was the coolest concert I have ever been to. All the bands were AMAZING!!! The first band was Saving Abel. They are new and didn't have too many songs to sing but they still did a good job. Papa Roach was the 2nd band and I was so surprised at how many songs of theirs I knew. They aren't my favorite band but they put on a very good concert. This first picture is of Papa Roach. This also shows how great our tickets were. We were so close.

The 3rd band was Hinder. We had seen them before and they did a great job but this time was different. This time the lead singer jumped off stage and went thru the crowd singing the song. This next picture is of the singer as he was right in front of us. There wasn't anyone in the row infront of us for some reason and he darted in and stood on the chair. We were so shocked that we weren't able to get the camera out soon enough to get a good picture, but you could tell how close he was. It was so awesome!

Nickelback came out when it was pretty dark so we weren't able to get any good pictures of them but they were awesome. Actually words can't describe how much fun we had and good they were. I absolutely love their songs and they sang all the best ones. They had fireworks going, flames, cool light show and great interaction with the crowd. We sang songs by garth brooks and ac/dc. They sang for 3 hours straight. The drummer did the coolest drum solo. He has some serious talent. The AC/DC song was sung by the lead singer from Hinder. He did a great job.
This concert was so good that we are actually thinking of going to the one in Vegas. I can't wait for them to put out a new album! Thank you Kyle for taking me to the Nickelback concert for our anniversary!
