Vegas and 40 yrs old

Kyle turned 40 years old this year and to celebrate we packed up on a whim and went to Vegas.  We got a room at the Hard Rock Casino and Gage loved lounging on the bed. We arrived late that night but chose to hurry and go to the Bellagio water show since we were only staying one night.  We put Gage in his pj's and headed over.

Gage really enjoyed the water and lights.  Plus all the people watching is his favorite thing to do too.  We did get a few weird looks having a baby out on the strip at night but I'm sure there were weirder things than us out there later.

The next day we went back to the Bellagio and walked through the conservatory.  It is my favorite place to go to besides the water show.  It's amazing and really fascinating to me how they arrange the flowers there. We went to the Cheesecake Factory for lunch and it was way good.  After that we went to The Quad and walked around the car museum.  They had tons of cars and it was way neat.  Gage enjoyed being pushed around and even tried to eat the stroller.  I think he is finally teething =)

After the car museum we went to the Golden Nugget Casino to see the largest gold nugget.  It was huge!  The picture doesn't do it justice.  It weighs 61 pounds!!  A guy found it in his back yard and for some reason donated it.
Then we headed over to the mob museum and walked around there.  It was cool.  It was all about the Vegas mob history.  It was really interesting.
Kyle and Gage in the line up.
We had a great weekend and a great time celebrating Kyle's 40th birthday! I wasn't planning on taking Gage to Vegas so soon but he did really good down there.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY KYLE!!!!!

Halloween

We went to a Halloween party at our friends Angie and Adams house.  It was a lot of fun to get out of the house, dress up, and hang out with some friends.  We were able to find our costumes at Wal-Mart and I got to wear my fur coat I got from my grandma Killpack.  I've always wanted a reason to wear it and it was perfect.  Kyle looked great in his gangster costume.

1st Halloween

I really wanted to celebrate Halloween with Gage but wasn't sure if I wanted to take him trick or treating since he wouldn't be the one eating the candy.  The elementary that my sisters kids go to put on a really fun carnival every year so we packed up and headed back to my sisters house.  My mom came down as well and we all went to the carnival.  It was a lot of fun.  Gage was dressed up as a pumpkin and we entered the costume party but he didn't win anything.  Those judges just don't know what cute is =)  I can't wait for Gage to be older and play all the fun games.  They give out some great prizes.  It was fun seeing my family again and we were able to celebrate my moms birthday as well since it was that Saturday.  We only stayed Friday night to Saturday day but we had a great time.

This is Gage on Halloween morning.  He woke up early and go to get ready with me.  He was wide awake and really happy.  He got to wear his My First Halloween shirt and looked darling in it.

Gage had a few Halloween outfits and I wanted to have him wear them all.  So when I got home from work we changed into this cute pumpkin/spider outfit and got some pictures in it.

Later that evening he got to wear his pumpkin costume.  We didn't get to go trick or treating but we will for sure next year.  He was just too young but enjoyed being in his costume.

5 Months Old

I cannot believe that this little guy is 5 months old!!!  Time is going by way to fast for me.  He is so much fun and so happy!  Gage loves tummy time and holds his head up really good. He pushes up really well.   He rolls from his tummy to his back really good but has no desire to roll from his back to his belly.  Because he LOVES his toes.  When he is on his back he instantly grabs for his toes.  He loves to put his toes in his mouth which makes it a little harder when I change his diaper. =)  He is really interested in the dogs.  He wants to grab them so bad but they don't want him to yet.  When he sees Jaxsen he gets a big grin on his face and Jaxsen will let him pet his a little bit.  Keeta likes to lick his toes. He talks a lot and loves to mimic things that we do.  He doesn't really like being in his carseat much but will tolerate it when the car gets moving.  He loves to be swaddled again which helps out with naptime.  When he has a bottle he has a habit of leaving just 1 ounce left.  Doesn't matter how much you give him he always leaves 1 ounce.  You have to be persistent to get him to finish his bottle. =)  He still loves cereal and always makes a huge mess.  I can't wait to give him real food.  He is so interested in ours that he is gonna love food.

We just LOVE this little guy so much!

Birthday Time

Tis the season to celebrate birthdays.  Our dog Jaxsen turned 9 and I turned 32.  Time is going by so fast.  This time of year I also graduated from scrub school 10 years ago!  I can't believe I have been scrubbing for 10 years.  I really enjoy my job and hope that I enjoy it for 10 more.

Jaxsen is such a great dog.  He minds so well and I'm sad that he is getting older.  He still acts like a puppy when he plays but has mellowed out a lot and enjoys taking naps.
For my birthday Gage and I went to my parents for the weekend.  It was so nice to see family.  Kyle stayed home and got some projects around the house done.  He didn't have the time off to be able to come with us.

So off to Grandma and Grandpa's we went.  We made if half way before Gage decided he did not want to be in his carseat anymore.  So we made a few stops to let him stretch his legs and he was finally better and made it the rest of the trip.  We got to go out to dinner with my parents and both my brothers and their families.  It was really nice to just hang out with everyone and Gage loved seeing all his cousins.  Then on Sunday we took off to see my sister and her family.

The trip to my sisters wasn't as long as the trip to my parents so Gage did pretty well on that trip.  He was definitely ready to get out of the carseat tho.  We had a great time at my sisters and of course loved hanging out with the cousins.  It was sad when we had to leave because that meant our fun weekend was over.  I wish my family lived closer but atleast we live in the same state and can make the trip in a day to see them.  I had a great birthday and can't wait to celebrate Kyles in the coming month.

1st Cereal Experience

We finally gave Gage cereal.  He wasn't so sure of it but ended up LOVING it.  He is such a good eater.  He really likes his oatmeal cereal mixed with prune juice.
He is so tiny compared to his chair. =)

Exersaucer

We got Gage an exersaucer because he is very curious.  He loves it!  It is so fun watching him explore and grab for his toys.

4 Months Old

My little boy is growing up so fast.  He is already 4 months old!  He has been such a blessing to us.   At his 4 month appointment he weighed 12 pounds 10 ounces which puts him in the 9th%.  He is 24 inches tall in the 17th%.  His head is 16 1/4 which is 24%.  He is getting bigger.  He has been boycotting naps in the morning and sometimes in the afternoon but usually gives in around night time for a quick nap before he goes to bed.  He has discovered his toes and loves putting them in his mouth.  When you put him on his back he instantly grabs his feet.  When he is on his tummy he rolls back to his back.  He really likes tummy time.  He loves to sit up but really enjoys standing.  He loves to stand and jump up and down.  This really makes him smile.  He is now grabbing at his toys and putting them in his mouth.  Anything that comes close to his mouth goes in.  Even if it is your fingers.  He constantly has his hand in his mouth.  It makes me wonder when his first tooth will come.  He drools a lot.  He tends to use his left hand a lot more than his right. Maybe he will be a lefty??  He tries to make his lips vibrate but only ends up spitting on you.  He gets a kick out of this.  He is very happy especially in the morning.  He still doesn't cry a lot which is really nice.  We love him so much!!!
