Grandma Bleazard

Another year has gone by and Grandma Bleazard celebrated her 101 birthday.  We are so lucky to have her in our lives.  It is also nice to have a really good excuse to bring everyone together again.  It just doesn't happen enough.  Alot of people say they wouldn't want to live to be 100 let alone 101 but honestly I think we would be blessed to make it that long.  Grandma has seen so many neat things in her lifetime.  She grew up walking or riding horses to get where she wanted, to riding in cars, to flying in airplanes, to microwaves, and then the internet.  I can only imagine what we will see in the next 100 years!  I'm also lucky to still have my Grandma who I grew up next door to.  I LOVED having my Grandma next door.  Not many people get to see theirs on a daily basis and I did.  Whenever my parents needed a babysitter we went to Grandma and Grandpa's house or if you wanted yummy treats we would sneak over there before dinner.  Grandma always had yummy cookies or cheetos or M&M's for us to eat.  There were endless things to do at Grandma's house.  From playing in the spare bedroom or basement to building huts in the sage brush.  My love for the I love lucy show came from her.  I would eat chicken noodle soup and chicken in a biscuit crackers and watch TV with her in the afternoon after I had been to kindergarten.  I am very blessed to still have my Grandma in my life and I wouldn't change a thing!  She is still the same ol Grandma. She even looked better this year than she did last year and I truly think we will be celebrating more birthdays with her.

NASCAR Las Vegas

This year Kyle and I were able to go to NASCAR in Vegas.  Our friend Kendell got us and our friends Brandon and Dylan free tickets and off we went Sunday morning to Las Vegas.  Kendell and his family went down as well.  We had a blast.  We watched the redbull helicopter and airplane do tricks. They were way cool cuz they both did flips.  The weather was no nice down there.  I was so glad that I had sunscreen on cuz there were people who looked like lobsters.  We thought our tickets weren't going to be good cuz they were in the bleachers but really they were pretty nice.  Plus where our seats were made it really easy to get to our truck and get home by 7.  We were worried that we would be stuck in traffic for hours but we got out in 10 mins.
The cars lined up getting ready to start.  This is turn 3 and thats where our seats were (for those of you who are NASCAR fans).
Gotta love our photos of ourselves.
Carl Edwards was the drive who won and this is his car on his victory lap.  Edwards is one of Kyles favorite drivers.  It was a pretty close race and not many wrecks.

Dumont Sand Dunes Presidents Day Weekend

This past weekend Kyle and I went to the sand dunes.  We took off thursday hoping to find some warm weather and good friends.  Well we did find some good friends.  The weather on the other hand wasn't great but we did have some warm moments.  Dumont sand dunes are over by the border of California and Nevada.  It was a long drive but I think most of it is the anticipation of getting there.  Kyle's friend Kendell and his nephew Derek came with us and it was nice to have some good company for the ride.  We also took both our dogs and they had a great time.  There were 6 dogs total at the camp and thankgoodness they all got along.  This first picture is of the sand dunes and it is maybe 1/8 of the sand dunes.  There is just tons of dunes there.  I think this is part of the back side, but I'm not sure.

This picture is of competition hill and we are on the very top of it looking down.  Usually this place is packed with people wanting to prove their bike is better but this year there was hardly any people there.  It was acutally nice cuz the dunes weren't crowded and you can ride where ever you want.
Me of course sitting in the razor.  It it too hard to get buckled up and unbuckled that I usually just sit in the razor while Kyle gets out to stretch his legs.
This is a picture of the sand dunes from our camp.  You can see all the tracks since it rained the night before and made the sand more like dirt.
We had a great time this past weekend.  There weren't very many people in our camp since there were alot of people sick and stayed home but we had a great time.  The food was awesome except the night we cooked together the wind picked up and dusted our food with sand.  Oh well you get use to it.  We were just glad the rain only happened at night and not during the day except when we were packing everything up to go home.  I can't wait to go again.  I love going for rides in the razor on the dunes and I miss my friends Delrae and Vicky.  They are so much fun and I miss them.  Until next time.....

Valentines Day

This year for Valentines Kyle surprised me totally.  I was hoping we would go out to dinner and was dropping hints that flowers would be nice.  On Saturday he asked me what I wanted to do for Valentines and I told him I was hoping he would take me out to dinner but if he didn't have reservations made we weren't going out cuz it would be too busy.  So he had me thinking we were going to Wendy's cuz he didn't have any reservations made.  Also, he was complaining about how this holiday is only for girls and he thought he should be getting gifts. go figure.  Well I decided this year I was going to get him something.  So I got a bag and filled it with all his favorite candy.  I also made him a card with my cricut.  It actually looked pretty good.  So the day comes and I'm thinking of what to cook all day long while I was at work and when Kyle gets home from work he has 3 roses in his hand and tells me I need to get ready for dinner cuz we were going out.  We went to Milt's which is where we went 5 years ago on our 2nd date.  It was perfect.  We had some good food and no need to impress eachother. =) He even ate the green onions like he had 5 years ago.  I was really surprised he had made the reservations 2 weeks before for dinner.  I sure am a lucky girl to have such a great guy!

Valentine Crafts

I have finally got off my butt and made some crafts.  This first one I made from a styrofoam heart and fabric.  I cut the fabric into 2 inch squares and then poked them into the heart.  This was one of the easiest crafts I have done.  As always pictures don't do it justice but I sure think it is cute.

These next pictures are of the table cloths I made last weekend with my mom.  I had a blast with her.  These are so easy too! I can't wait to make more.  I love how my valentines one turned out.  My favorite part are the heart buttons.

Last but not least the one I made for my piano.  My piano was looking so loney over there with no decorations and this table cloth makes it look so much better.

I had a great time with my mom and I'm so glad she taught me how to make these table cloths.  Now to make an easter one!!!

Mesquite

I finally got my trip to Mesquite!  I've wanted a massage for awhile and Kyle finally took me.  It also helped that there was a car show going on the same weekend.  Friday night we got there kinda late so we didn't get to see any cars.  We did walk around the casinos tho but decided we should go to bed early since our massages were early Saturday morning.  This first picture is of me friday night.  Kyle was messing around with the camera and took some funny ones of himself but I'm sure he would kill me if they made it on the blog. So you ahve to settle for my pics.

These next pictures are of some of the cars there. I have no clue what they are but they were cool looking.

The picture below is a car that has cowboy boots are the interior.  They lined the door and the back of the seats and yes that is toilet seat for the seat.  The gear shift was a shotgun too.  It was a pretty cool looking car.
We took the trailer and stayed in their RV park.  It was pretty nice.  It was really nice to be able to bring the dogs too.  As you can tell the picture below is me and the dogs.  The weather was perfect!  We took the dogs for a walk atleast 5 times a day.  They loved it!  I would totally go down and stay in the RV park again.  It did help to have the car show there so we had something to do during the day since the pools were closed.
Kyle at the burn out competition.
This is the car that won the burn out competition.  It was the kids dads car.
Overall the weekend was awesome!  The massages were awesome and we were able to sit in the pool and sauna and have a nice relaxing morning.  The car show was alot of fun.  It was the best show I've ever been too.  The cars filled up the parking lot at the Casablanca and the Oasis.  Thank you Kyle for taking me to Mesquite!!!!

PB Cups

Now I know this picture does not do the justice these homemade peanut butter cups deserve but I had to put them on here.  I LOVE peanut butter cups and when I found a recipe in the Taste of Home magazine I was stoked! I have to admit they weren't as great as I was hoping but they still were good.  I'm going to make them again and use a different recipe.  They are pretty easy and super yummy!

Closet Project

My closet has always been a mess especially since I buy shoes, hats, and scarves that I don't need.  Kyle was tired of my stuff tumbling on to his side. So he built me some shelves to put my shoes on, shelves in the nook to put my sweatshirts and other stuff in, and a place to put my scarves.  So the first picture is how my closet looked before.

All my winter shoes.  My flip flops are in the shoe boxes.

 The after picture!
I LOVE my closet now.  My shoes are organized and I finally have a shelf to put my suitcase and everything on.  It still looks like a mess but it really is so much better!  THANK YOU KYLE!!!
