Amargosa Sand Dunes

It was our annual President's Day sand dune trip and this year instead of going to Dumont we went to some sand dunes right out side of Las Vegas. Now I know you are thinking since we went to Las Vegas it is going to be pretty hot. Well you and I were both wrong. It was so cold. I think our warmest day was 53 degrees. As you can tell Jaxsen is pretty spoiled and a mama's boy and he spent most of his time in my coat trying to get warm. We went right when that cold front hit California and Neveda. But we still had a blast. You can't tell from the pictures how big the dunes were but they were pretty big and alot of sand. We had a great time and look forward to going to the sand dunes again for Halloween.

Snowboarding.... Enough Said

Well this past saturday I went to Brian Head Ski Resort with my friend Sunny and snowboarded for the first time in 9 years! We had a blast! We had the coolest instructor cuz neither of us could remember how to snowboard and didn't want to kill ourselves. It brought back so many memory's of when I went snowboarding with Valerie. That was such a great time too. I'm pretty sure I looked the same back then too.

As you can tell I spent most of my time on my butt. I fell so many times! I still can't sit down without hurting. Plus my arms hurt so bad from trying to pull myself up. This was so much harder than I remember.

We got the hang of it and would love to go back. We atleast had a smile on our faces when we left. I want to go back again before I forget everything I just learned.

Maximus

Well I finally have let Max go to a better home. My boss and her kids have fallen in love with him and he will now live with them. I have mixed feelings cuz I loved Max but I just never spent the time with him that he needed. I know that my little pug will miss him. They were honestly best friends but Jaxsen will get over it. Now he will have all the attention. =) So Max I hope you are doing great and please behave. Good Luck with your new family!!!! LOVE YA MAX!!

Arizona trip 2008

We celebrated our first year of marriage by going to Arizona. Let me tell you this place is BEAUTIFUL!!! Our first stop on our trip was the Grand Canyon. This is the Northern part. It was amazing. I can't believe that I have lived in Utah all my life and never visited this place. It was neat. Plus this was a great start to our trip.

Sedona

After going to the Grand Canyon we went to Sedona. This place is beautiful and definately a rich man's play ground. The first two pics are of Slick Rock. This place was pretty cool. It was made by nature and you can go and play in the water, but it is very slick. You need to wear shoes! It is so hot down there and the water is pretty cool it just feels perfect. It's gotta be nice to have a swimming pool in the middle of the mountains!
The second two pics are of Montezuma's castle. This was a way neat place. As you can see it is high up on a mountain so that no one can get to it. Plus it is still intact. There were so many neat places to see in Sedona. You could spend days there seeing everything. When I retire I want to live there cuz it is just beautiful!!!

Jerome

Another stop on our journey was Jerome. This was a neat little town. It was built high up on a hill and it was a mining town. The top building was a hospital back in the day and now they have made it into a hotel. This is where we stayed. It is supposedly huanted and I failed to mention it to Kyle until we checked in. =) He wasn't too happy to hear the ghost storys. I love scarey movies so this was my favorite part of the trip. The roads are tiny in this place! We took our toy hauler trailer with us on this road trip and they people told me we could park up at the hotel. Well they failed to mention to me that the roads are ment for tiny cars one at a time. At the time it wasn't funny but after we got everything figured out it was pretty funny that we dragged out trailer thru it all.

Tombstone

The last stop on our trip was Tombstone Arizona. This is the only reason I could get Kyle to go to Arizona. He loves the history and the story about the Earp brothers. The first pic is us in our hard hats getting ready to go into the underground mine that is under the town of Tombstone. You can only go so far but it was pretty neat. The second pic is of Kyle at the bar in the Birdcage. This place was the coolest shop in the whole town. I think it is the only original place too. Everything there was so neat. You could see the bullet holes from fights in the walls and they had all the original furniture and everything. The third pic is of Kyle standing next to the hurse that carried the people to the grave yard.

American Idol

Well as most of you know I tried out last July for American Idol. I didn't make it very far. I only got to sing a song for the producers and they didn't like it. But I'm proud of myself for even doing it. Singing in front of people scares the crap right out of me! I did very well I think. I wasn't nervous or anything, but then again singing for strangers is easy cuz I don't care what they think. I want to thank everyone who encouraged me to do it! Thanks!
