New York Dolls '11

We went to the New York Dolls, Poison, and Motley Crue concert and this is just to show where our seats were.  We stood right up against the fence.  We had perfect seats!!!  This picture shows the New York Dolls.  My personal opnion they weren't that good but then again I stood in line the whole time they sang to buy T-shirts for Kyle and I. I thought I spent my time well since everyone else said they weren't that good. =)

Viva Elvis and Hoover dam

We had an exciting trip planned for Vegas this past weekend and it was more than what I expected. We got off to a late start but when I finally got off of work Kyle and I jetted down to Vegas.

We needed to get to Vegas atleast by 9 so we could make it for the Viva Elvis show at the Aria.  We were meeting up with our friends Shawn and Kim and  April and Merrill.  Luckly we made it in time.  The show was awesome.  I love Elvis music and they picked some good songs to put in the show.  I loved watching videos from the past.  It made the whole show so real.  Watching these Cirque du Soliel shows makes me wanna be a dancer but then when the show is over I come back to reality.
Kyle and I at the Viva Elvis show
Saturday we finally made it to the Hoover Dam.  I had been to the Hoover dam before but I hadn't been there since they built the new bridge over it.  The picture above is the bridge they built to help vehicles bypass driving over the Hoover Dam.

 Lake Mead.
Us after we walked back to our car.  It was neat to go see the Hoover Dam and be able to look down.  It made me very nervous being that far up from the ground.  We were able to check off another place on our list of places to see.

The Little Mermaid

Acouple weeks ago I got the chance to go to The Little Mermaid at Tuacahn with my mom, my aunt Faye, my sister and her two girls, my sister-in-law and her 2 girls and my other sister-in-law.  We had a blast!  It was fun to watch the younger girls watch and be totally mesmerized!  It was amazing to watch the water scenes and how creative they were.  I loved everything about the whole show.  It was fun after the show to watch the girls meet some of the characters.  Savanah wanted to meet Ariel so bad and when she finally did she was so shy.  They all loved Flounder.
We stayed the night in a very nice condo and spent the morning swimming.  It was such a perfect day.  Then off course you can't go to St. George without doing some shopping!  I was really sad when everyone had to go.  We had such a great time I didn't want it to end.  Until next time girls!!!

Lehmans Cave

We started our summer off by going to Baker NV to see Lehmans Cave over Memorial weekend.  We both had been there when we were little kids.  I remembered going but Kyle didn't have any memory of going when he was a kid.  So I thought it would be fun to go out there and see it.  Thank goodness we were able to leave early cuz it took us awhile to find a camping spot.  We didn't really want to pay for a spot so we went on a search for a nice "free" area.  A doctor that I work with told me a few places and he also told me we should be careful cuz it usually snows there too that weekend.  So far we had perfect weather.  We found a spot that someone had put alot of time into making.  It was perfect!  There was a stream right by it that was way full and there were places we could take our Razor out and ride around.  The drive out there wasn't too bad either.  It is very pretty out there but definitely nothing but the caves out there.
This first picture is us in front of Wheeler Peak.  There is a scenic drive by the caves that takes you all the way up to Wheeler Peak campground.  At the very top there was still a ton of snow and you couldn't camp up there.  The drive is really nice.

The next few pictures are obviously Lehmans Cave.  We went on the 90 min tour and it was worth it.  This place was way cool!  We were in the back of the group so we got alittle bit behind everyone but was able to take some way cool pictures and take our time enjoying the cave.  The group was really small too.  There were 20 people.

A person in the group was kind enough to take our picture for us.  Too bad you can't see the background.  This is the part of the cave they sealed off the rest of the tour too for research.  I can't remember the name. I wanna say the grand ballroom but I know that is wrong.
The picture above is the last part of the tour.  The guide said since the place was around 50 degrees year round they use to have parties down there back in the day.  Alot of the stalagmites and such are broken off because of the parties and people wanting to take home souvenirs.
The long walk out of the cave.
Of course we took the dogs with us.  They love camping.  They also like sitting on me.

This is the scene we saw the morning we woke up to go home.  I had been warned by Dr. Crouch but I didn't believe him.  We were shocked it snowed on us.  The night before we went for a razor ride up one of the canyons and it started raining but we didn't think it would turn into snow.  We packed everything up and dropped the trailer off in Baker and headed up to Ely NV.  It was a cute town.  Alot bigger than I thought it would be.  We drove around there for alittle bit. We even went to the town of Ruth where they do alot of mining.
Overall we had a great time and would love to go back.  There are a lot of roads we didn't get to go explore and see where they went.  On the way home we stopped at Frisco UT an old mining town and looked at all the ruins.  It would have been really cool to see what these places looked like when they were booming.

We had to cut our trip short because our new jacuzzi was arriving on monday.  It is so NICE!!!  We up graded our old one for this one cuz we wanted to have speakers in the tub.  It is very nice to go out there and relax and listen to music.

As you can see it has 2 water fountians and the lights are super cool.  We LOVE this jacuzzi.  I didn't want to cut our trip short but after getting in this I didn't mind it one bit =)

Texas

Acouple weeks ago Kyle got to go to San Antonio Texas for work.  The company he works for bought a company that makes private jets.  So he was asked to go down and help take apart some of the equipment so it could be shipped back here.  I wasn't excited for him to be gone 10 days but it went by fast for me and really slow for him.  This first picture has one of the private jets that isn't completed.

This picture is of a private jet the company built called the DeJa Vu.  Kyle got to go for a ride in this jet.  He said it was awesome and it is crazy how fast you go compaired to regular planes.
This is Kyle and one of the wives of the guys who didn't end up going on the ride.  The jets are alittle small but alot better than going commercial.  There is a model jet at the place Kyle works and I got to go see it.  I wish we had 8 million dollars sitting around cuz I would buy one of these in a heart beat!
He was able to go see some sights but I can't get the pictures to down load.  He went on the river walk and saw some museums.  He also got to eat at some good places.  I was totally jealous that he has been there twice cuz I would love to go, but he did work his butt off in the heat.  I'm glad he is home cuz that was the longest we have ever been apart and I did not like it at all!

Vegas Again

Acouple weeks ago Kyle and I went to Vegas again for the Drag Strip races.  We had never been to them before and figured we would give them a try.  We down Saturday morning and watched them all day.  It was pretty cool.  Of course we liked the cars that were super loud better than the rest.  Also the people watching is awesome.  I thought NASCAR had the best people watching but it doesn't even compair to the drags.  There were more shirtless old men in daisy duke shorts, women dressed like hookers, and women who were in their 50's dressing up like they were teenagers.  Since it was alot warmer than it was during the NASCAR races everyone was showing way more skin than necessary.  But it made the day fun.  We had pretty good seats too.
The picture below is a stage coach on steriods!  It was for the company Jelly Belly's and it could go fast.  It was the "half time" show.  Since the races were all day it was nice to have something to watch while they cleaned the roads off.
I try to go to the Bellagio Conservatory every time I'm in Vegas to see what they have done.  It was really pretty to see in the night time with all the colored lights.
And of course how could I not go to my favorite place.  The water show at the Bellagio.  Bad picture but you get the idea.
We had a really good time down there.  We stayed at the Palace Station and played on the strip for a little bit.  We left on Sunday but before we could leave we rode the rollercoasters.  We rode the New York New York 4 times and the NASCAR one at the Sahara twice.  We had to go to the Sahara cuz they are shutting it down in May so we got our final hoorah!  I think we might try to go every year to the drag races but next time we will take sunblock and maybe leave during the afternoon and go back at night time.  It was a very long day sitting there.

Grandma Bleazard

Another year has gone by and Grandma Bleazard celebrated her 101 birthday.  We are so lucky to have her in our lives.  It is also nice to have a really good excuse to bring everyone together again.  It just doesn't happen enough.  Alot of people say they wouldn't want to live to be 100 let alone 101 but honestly I think we would be blessed to make it that long.  Grandma has seen so many neat things in her lifetime.  She grew up walking or riding horses to get where she wanted, to riding in cars, to flying in airplanes, to microwaves, and then the internet.  I can only imagine what we will see in the next 100 years!  I'm also lucky to still have my Grandma who I grew up next door to.  I LOVED having my Grandma next door.  Not many people get to see theirs on a daily basis and I did.  Whenever my parents needed a babysitter we went to Grandma and Grandpa's house or if you wanted yummy treats we would sneak over there before dinner.  Grandma always had yummy cookies or cheetos or M&M's for us to eat.  There were endless things to do at Grandma's house.  From playing in the spare bedroom or basement to building huts in the sage brush.  My love for the I love lucy show came from her.  I would eat chicken noodle soup and chicken in a biscuit crackers and watch TV with her in the afternoon after I had been to kindergarten.  I am very blessed to still have my Grandma in my life and I wouldn't change a thing!  She is still the same ol Grandma. She even looked better this year than she did last year and I truly think we will be celebrating more birthdays with her.

NASCAR Las Vegas

This year Kyle and I were able to go to NASCAR in Vegas.  Our friend Kendell got us and our friends Brandon and Dylan free tickets and off we went Sunday morning to Las Vegas.  Kendell and his family went down as well.  We had a blast.  We watched the redbull helicopter and airplane do tricks. They were way cool cuz they both did flips.  The weather was no nice down there.  I was so glad that I had sunscreen on cuz there were people who looked like lobsters.  We thought our tickets weren't going to be good cuz they were in the bleachers but really they were pretty nice.  Plus where our seats were made it really easy to get to our truck and get home by 7.  We were worried that we would be stuck in traffic for hours but we got out in 10 mins.
The cars lined up getting ready to start.  This is turn 3 and thats where our seats were (for those of you who are NASCAR fans).
Gotta love our photos of ourselves.
Carl Edwards was the drive who won and this is his car on his victory lap.  Edwards is one of Kyles favorite drivers.  It was a pretty close race and not many wrecks.
