Tarzan

My sister and I got our mom tickets for Mother's Day to go see Tarzan.  So acouple weekends ago we finally went to see it.  It was amazing!  We totally loved it.  I would recommend everyone who loves musicals to go and see it.  The monkeys were so fun to watch.  The people there are so talented. We also went shopping the next day.  It was so nice to have a relaxing weekend with the girls.  Thank you Mom and Carrie for the amazing weekend! I can't wait to do it again.

Moab

For the 4th of July Kyle and I decided to go to Moab. I don't know why we chose to go there but it was fun!  We were shocked by how much there is to do over there.  Moab is an outdoors person's dream!  We stayed in a RV campground and I probably wouldn't stay there again. it was kinda scary.  There was a trailer park that was part of the campground and you didn't want to be any where near that place at night =)  But it was cheap and we were able to bring our dogs with us which was really nice.
Our first adventure was to go hiking in the National Arches Park.  I didn't even know this place existed!  It was awesome.  We went to the Delicate Arch first which is the arch that is on the Utah license plate.  I always hated that license plate but now that I have been there I wish I had that license plate.  This first picture is of the Delicate Arch and Kyle and I are standing infront of it.  I couldn't believe how big it was.  It was such a long hike and it was so hot that when we finally saw the arch we were so excited.  It is crazy cuz you are just hiking and come around a corner and there it is.
The second picture is what they called Sheep Rock.  We were just looking at it and I read the map and as soon as I said Sheep Rock Kyle was all There it is!!  It is kinda crazy how it really looks like a sheep.

The second day of our vacation we went back in the National Arch Park cuz we weren't able to do all the hiking we wanted the first day.  We wanted to see the arch that had fallen and the landscape arch.  So we got up early so we wouldn't get stuck in the heat and headed up to what they call Devils Garden.  The map said it was a 7 mile hike round trip.  (P.S. they lied!!!)  We saw acouple arches before we came to the one we wanted to see.  The Landscape Arch which is pictured below.
We decided to keep going on the hike and see all the arches in the park.  Man we about killed ourselves.  The first couple hours wasn't too bad. We saw the arch that had fallen back  in 2008 and the hike past there wasn't too bad. I really hate heights which might come to a surprise to some cuz I LOVE roller coasters and all. But I feel I'm pretty safe in those with my little seat belt and all.  But hiking on cliffs and rocks where the wind could blow me over the edge or just one wrong step could end my life I really hate that.  But we were there and Kyle really wanted to keep hiking so we did.  There were a ton of other arches in the park that were so cool.  Everyone should go there.  Then it came to decision time.  Do we go back the way we came or take the primitive loop and see some other arches that most people don't get to see.  Well we took the primitive loop.  By the way it says on the sign difficult hike.  They totally under estimated that.  It was the hardest thing I've ever done.  We got to see 2 more arches like the Private Arch.  Then the hike really started.  It took us hours to finish the hike.  We were contemplating about sitting under a tree and waiting for someone to come by and send them for help.  It was so HOT!!!  We were glad that we had packed each water.  If we hadn't we would have been in trouble.  When we came to the end of the hike we felt like there should have been a welcoming commitee saying "YOU DID IT!! You survived!"  But there really wasn't except these two people who said nice job for finishing.  We were pretty proud of our selves for hiking all that we did.
The picture of Kyle and I is at Dead Horse Point.  You can barely see the Colorado River in the back ground.  It looked awesome.  You could see for miles!  Just below where we were is the place they filmed Thelma and Louise driving their car off the cliff.  We also went to a museum that showed all the movies that had been filmed there in Moab.  There were tons!! Plus the celebrities love to visit there.  We can't wait to go back.  Next time we are going to go on the fourwheeler trails and go down the Colorado River.
We ended our trip by watching the fireworks there in Moab.  They had some way cool fireworks.  I had never seen some of them before.  We took the dogs with us and the fireworks didn't even bother them.  I would recommend Moab to everyone whether you are an outdoors person or not.  There are some cool things to do there!

Vegas Baby!

Wow the month of June was so busy! Kyle and I went to Vegas 3 times that month. We went down for the day to meet up with our friends Brandon and Lindsey. It was nice to hang out by the pool and the weather was perfect! We also ate at one of the buffets at the Rio Casino and it was amazing! I can't remember the name it, it was sumthing like Carnival World. I would totally go back and most of the buffets in Vegas are gross. Then we went down again to our friends Jeff and Del Rae's house and celebrated their daughter Kaylie's graduation. It was alot of fun to see all the people we hang out with when we go to the sand dunes. It had been over a year since we have seen all those guys. Congrats Kaylie!!
Then our recent adventure to Vegas was to hang out with my cousin Sandy and her hubby Keith. We had a BLAST!!! We stayed at the Casino Hooters which I am embarrassed to say I stayed there but it was pretty cool. The pool there was so much fun. We hung out by the pool all day Saturday. Then that night we went to Freemont Street since Kyle hasn't been there since they covered it. We walked around alot and ended up at the Golden Nugget. They have an awesome pool there. They have an aquarium with sharks in it! This picture of Kyle and I has the sharks in the back ground. The best part about it is there is a slide that goes thru the aquarium too.

The last picture is of me and Sandy down on Freemont Street. I'm so glad that we finally got to hang out again. It had been since high school or longer that we have hung out. I can't wait until the next time we get together. Her husband is a way cool guy. Thanks Sandy and Keith for putting this together! Can't wait till next time!

Kyle's projects

The past couple months Kyle has been working on my Grandma Bleazard's kitchen table. I've always wanted a wooden table and we finally got it. Also there was a rocking chair at my grandma's house that was sitting under the carport so I took it. =) The table had so many coats of paint. The first was pink since my Grandma likes pink but there was also 70's green, white, and some light blue. He worked so hard to peel all the paint off and sand the pieces down to make them look good. Once Kyle got all the paint off there was a burn mark on the table. It is the shape of the bottom of a coffee cup. Hmm I wonder if Grandpa Bleazard had anything to do with it =) We were going to paint it black and then sand the edges but the wood was in such great condition we decided to just stain it. I wish Grandma Bleazard could see it!!

AFTER

I really wish we had gotten a picture of the rocking chair before Kyle took it apart and sanded it down. The rockers were so wore out that he had to make brand new ones. The seat was made out of some kind of mesh and he cut boards to make the seat. Then he painted the chair black. It looks great. Nice job Kyle and Thank you so much for all the time you put into this!!!! Love ya!!

Awesome Weekend

These past few days have been awesome. It first started on Thursday when Kyle and I went to see the comedian Brian Regan. We went out to dinner to the Texas Roadhouse and that place is SOOO GOOD! Then we went and saw Brian Regan. He was so funny! I couldn't stop laughing all night long. Even the guy who opened for him was funny. It was nice to be out on a date with Kyle. It had been a long time!
Then I got to go hang out with my mom and sister at my sister's house. I miss my family! I always love going to my sisters house and seeing my neices and nephew.
Saturday night I went with Kyle and his friend Brandon and his family to the monster truck race. I have to admit it was LAME!!! But the company was fun. We had a good time laughing at the people racing their fourwheelers. Which was really wierd they had fourwheelers racing when we were there to see Monster Trucks. Oh well. But we did get to go out and eat at Olive Garden. So there was a plus side to the whole night.
Then today Kyle and I planted the flowers and shrubs that I had ordered. I'm so excited to see them grow. I can't wait until my pink lilac bush grows. That will be my favorite to watch grow. I'm also excited for my house to not look like a bachelor pad. I will post pictures of my flowers as soon as they start to grow.
Thank you Kyle for some awesome days!! I had a great time! Love you!!!

Camping Season!

Well it is finally camping season!! I love getting out of town and going up the mountian or just about anywhere. This weekend we went with Kyle's sister and her family out to Gold Springs. I'm so glad we did cuz the weather was PERFECT out there. On Saturday it had to of been atleast high 70's. I got so sunburned!! It was nice to just relax and enjoy the company. We ate hobo dinners, hot dogs, and some awesome chicken and potatoe salad! We went for a ride around the gold mines and got to show Karolee and her family all the cool places we go when we come out here. I wish I had thought to grab my camera when we were out driving but I do have pictures on other posts of the places we have seen. All the buildings have been demolished which would have cool if they were still standing up. You see LOTS of tin cans that they would throw in a pile when they were done eating. We had a great time with Kyle's sister and her family and can't wait to camp with them again!!
It was also my puppy's first time going camping. I think she loved it cuz she found herself a new boyfriend. She would not leave Karolee's dog alone!! It is official that I will get her spayed! The last two pics show how tired my dogs were on the way home. Camping always tires them out and I love it.

Relaxing Weekend

This past weekend I was tired of the wind and snow so my AWESOME friend Sunny let Kyle and I use her timeshare down in Mesquite. It was SO nice down there. The weather was awesome. I just wanted to lay out by the pool all day but I couldn't find my suncreen. We had massages on saturday. I totally miss having a massage. I use to do it once a month with my friends and I want to start doing that again. You just feel so relaxed the rest of the day. It was also Mesquite Days that weekend and so it was so busy down there. Lots of things to do. We even did the cosmic bowling which Kyle kicked my butt at. (I'm usually pretty good but for some reason I couldn't bowl.)
When we came back we decided to try out the new rack that Kyle made for the back of the razor to put the dogs in. I didn't get great pics of the rack but it looks so good. Kyle is pretty good at everything he does. You can also tell the dogs LOVED it! Jaxsen is a huge fan of being able to put his head out the window so he was in heaven and Keeta just laid down and enjoyed the ride. I love it cuz I don't have to hold them anymore. That was the best part of the whole ride. Thank you Sunny for the room in Mesquite and Thank you Kyle for going with me to Mesquite and making it alot of fun!!!!

Easter Weekend

This weekend Kyle and I went with his sister and family to the Sand Hollow Sand Dunes. We were hoping to find the sun down there. It was warm but you still had to wear a jacket which was better than a coat! We drove around the back side that I had never been to. It was pretty fun and I wish I would have gotten some pictures cuz the scenery was beautiful. We stopped to have lunch and of course someone always has to break down on their fourwheeler and Kyle always gets to fix it. This time tho it was a stranger and Kyle got his bike fixed in no time. We spent acouple hours there and I didn't want to leave the warm weather but I knew that Keeta was probably cursing me since we left her in her cage.
Also this weekend I have been working on some crafts. It was a busy week and I didn't get to make anything until this weekend. These first pictures are of a candle that I put stamped tissue paper on. For my first try it turned out pretty dang good. If you get too close tho you can tell there is tissue paper. But oh well. I saw the idea on the blog The Idea Room which is on my blog craft list. Just type in embossed candles and you will find it if you want to make some of your own.
Then as you can tell I made some more carrots that I posted earlier. I really like how they look. I'm sure they look like a kindergartner did them but I don't really care. I am just starting to craft so I'm for sure not a pro. I'm just glad that I have a while before another holiday hits. I have so many ideas but just not enough time. Plus most of them are for valentines day too.
